This site has no account, no form and no cart. It measures its audience, and that is all it collects. This page says what, how, why, and what it never does.
DATA CONTROLLER
The data controller is Martin Poiroux, the publisher of this site, reachable at poirouxmartin@gmail.com. The only processor is the host, Vercel Inc., which serves the pages and processes the audience measurements. No data is passed to any other recipient.
AUDIENCE MEASUREMENT
Measurement goes through Vercel Web Analytics, the tool provided by the site host. Every page view records the date and time, the page address, the page you came from, your country, region and city, the device type, the operating system and the browser.
No cookie is set. So that a single visit is not counted twice, Vercel derives a hash from the incoming request; it is discarded after twenty-four hours and is tied to neither an IP address nor a person. Nothing can follow you from one day to the next, or from one site to another.
PURPOSE AND LEGAL BASIS
There is a single purpose: knowing which pages are read and how people reach them, in order to decide what to write next. Nothing feeds profiling, advertising or canvassing, and no automated decision is made from these measurements.
The legal basis is the publisher’s legitimate interest in knowing the audience of his site (article 6.1.f GDPR). The measurement sets no cookie and reads nothing on your device, so it does not fall under the consent required by article 82 of the French Data Protection Act.
RETENTION PERIOD
The hash that avoids counting the same visit twice is discarded after twenty-four hours. Aggregated statistics stay available for the reporting window of the hosting plan, one month on the free plan. A message you send me is kept for as long as it takes to answer.
TRANSFERS OUTSIDE THE EUROPEAN UNION
Vercel Inc. is a US company: the measurements are processed in the United States. Vercel adheres to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and covers its other transfers with the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
WHAT THIS SITE NEVER DOES
- No advertising, no advertising tracker.
- No social buttons, no content embedded from a third party.
- Fonts are served from this domain, not from Google Fonts: reading a page sends your IP address to nobody but the host.
- Nothing is sold, rented or passed on to a third party.
WHAT STAYS IN YOUR BROWSER
One single thing: your language choice, kept in a technical cookie so the site does not send you to English on every visit. It is only ever sent to this domain, never to a third party. Clearing the site data removes it.
HOSTING
The site is hosted by Vercel Inc., which also processes the audience measurements. Pages are pre-built: no database is queried when you visit.
YOUR RIGHTS
You have a right of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability. Because the audience measurements are aggregated and tied to no identifiable person, they cannot be traced back to your visit to correct or erase it; those rights do apply in full to a message you may have written to me.
